Then I started to realise how good I had it and gradually became less negative. Now I say "I'm lucky because I make my own luck." The golden rule is to see the positive spin on everything that happens. for example: My girlfriend dumped me, excellent I am back on the game. : I got sacked, awesome, I'm going to get a better paid job! : I can't afford my own house, what a relief, I'm free to travel! Anyone who reads comics will be able to tell you how their protagonists are constantly whining about their responsibility and how everything happens to them. Gifts and curses are the same thing it only depends on wether you give it a positive or negative spin. I used to say "I’m really lucky, unfortunately most of my luck is bad!"
Then I started to realise how good I had it and gradually became less negative.
Now I say "I’m lucky because I make my own luck."
