Thanks for the comment. You're dead right. There are plenty of studies that show that just carrying a credit card leads to more spending. That, however, doesn't change the fact that using it in moderation can builds and establishes credit.

establish credit. Far too many people have used this as their
reason to get a card and then later end up trapped by substantially
increasing balances. People start off with the premise that they
will not use the credit card to buy what they can't afford, and yet
eventually many slip. You mention many other good ways to build
